Coming from the greater Chicago area, Pastor Christopher and his wife Linda are adapting well to the smaller community of Wellington and the greater KC area. As a pastor, his greatest strengths are in preaching and teaching. He has a strong conviction that the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, is God’s personal revelation to us and is trustworthy for all of life. He has a passion to stir people up to an authentic relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. He recently served as Pastor of Leadership and Equipping at the Evangelical Free Church of Wauconda, Illinois. He served in that church for 26 years, beginning in the role of youth pastor.
Pastor Christopher also enjoys drama, both within the church and outside of the church. He has written six full-length plays and has directed, acted in or produced 18 plays.
Christopher and Linda have two grown daughters, Hope and Abby, both married and living outside of the area. Hope is starting her seventh year of teaching. She is starting her third year teaching sixth grade in North Carolina. Abby is a Field Visual Manager for Forever 21 over its two Tucson stores and its stores in El Paso, TX, Albequerque, NM, and in El Centro and Calexico, CA. Both husbands are attending grad school. Hope’s husband Chad is starting his third year in a Masters program in Occupational Therapy at Lenoir-Ryan College. And Abby’s husband Matt is now working on his PhD in Soil, Water and Environmental Science at the University of Arizona.
